Primark Neon Spike Necklace

On one of my more recent Primark visits, I picked up this gorgeous Neon Spike NecklaceI really love neon at the moment and have previously posted about other neon necklacesI think this particular one was only a couple of pounds, which is great value for the amount of necklace you get!

Primark Neon Spike Necklace

As you can see, there is a coloured cord running through the chain detail, with three different length gold coloured spikes coming off the chain. There is a really good extender chain on the necklace too, so you can vary the length at which you wear it.

I really love this necklace and think it looks stunning on sun kissed skin – it really shows off the neon at its best!

My one small niggle with this necklace is that it has a tendency to turn on itself, making the coloured cord not always sit perfectly flat and the spikes overlap each other a little on the outer edges. This is just the way these kind of necklaces are designed and due to the weight and curve that they sit on the skin, so not a lot you can do about it. I love it all the same and just have to occasionally adjust it. No biggy!

Have you bought any cute Primark necklaces recently? I’d love to hear from you.

Festival Outfit from New Look

Festival Look 2013 collage

It's festival season and with the weather showing some hope for summer, I thought I'd put together a summer festival look, all for under £105, from New Look

Tousled Hair
The perfect festival hairstyle is one that doesn't need much maintenance and this look is perfect. The tousled waves are easy to maintain with a 'scrunch and go'. They look relaxed and effortless, letting you enjoy yourself without worrying about where to plug in your straighteners!

Light Blue Dress
This Light Blue Floral Crochet Neck Sleeveless Dress, for just £19.99, comes in brown and navy as well as blue and is really girlie and flirting. The high neck is really cute and I love the crochet detail.

Suede Fringe Bag
You always need somewhere to put you phone, purse, sunglasses, sun cream and rechargeable torch (!) and this cute Tan Suede Fringe Back Pack, £29.99, is perfect for holding all your necessaries.

With this bag being a back pack too, your hands are free! Perfect! The fringe detail is really lovely and adds a sense of festival chic!

Ethnic Necklace
This White and Gold Ethnic Bead Statement Necklace, £14.99,  would look gorgeous layered over the crochet neckline of the light blue dress. Statement necklaces are so on trend right now and with this piece, a statement would definitely be made.

Leather Boots
These are adorable! Sensible footwear is a must on a festival field and these Tan Leather Glitter Back Ankle Boots, just £25 (reduced from £54.99!), are perfectly girlie, to team up with the light blue dress.

I love the fact that these boots are plain to the first glance and incredibly sparkly and a feminine on the back. Love these! You'll be the envy of your friends when you have dry, comfortable feet with added sparkle!

Sunglasses
These Nude Diamanté Square Frame Sunglasses, £7.99, are a must for the festival season, especially if the sun stays out! You want to be able to see you favourite bands without squinting and looking pretty cool at the same time. So, what better way than with these cute sunnies!

Cuff Bracelet
I love cuffs and stack bracelets and this Gold and Orange Zig Zag Stretch Cuff, £6.99, is perfect for this festival look. The colour beads tie in with the back pack and boots and finishes off the outfit, with a touch of glam. Perfect!

Villancher Fashion Jewellery Boutique Private Viewing

Villancher Fashion Jewellery Boutique Private Viewing

I was invited to a private viewing of Villancher Boutique Fashion Jewellery last night. Esther Hocking, founder of the enterprise, set up her fashion boutique jewellery line after struggling to find the style and individuality she wanted, at affordable prices.

Hand picked from around the world, Villancher offers a wide range of stylish fashion jewellery pieces and with only a few of each, there is a special feeling of uniqueness that goes with them.

Villancher currently stock Moon C, a brand from Paris, plus J9TwoFive, a range designed and hand crafted in Sri Lanka. So they're pretty special!

There were so many gorgeously unique pieces on display, but to me, the two ranges that I loved were the dolly necklaces and the charm bracelets.

Pink Star Dolly, Villancher

Pink Diamante Dolly, Villancher

Leopard Skin Trousers Dolly, Villancher

The dolly necklaces are like nothing I've seen before. They're gorgeous with their individual detail and 'over the top' beautiful'ness! The three I particularly liked were the 'Pink Star', 'Pink Diamante' and the 'Leopard Skin Trousers'.

The chains are approx 40cm and the dolls themselves 12cm, so they're a really lovely size and weight and truly a gorgeous accessory that will make a real statement. These necklaces would add the finishing touch to a simple white t-shirt and jeans or could easily be dressed up with a little black number. The dollys are priced at just £28.99 each.

The bracelets are equally as beautiful and individual as the Dolly necklaces. The bracelets come in various colours and designs and each bracelet consists of a number of bracelets, attached together.

Ibiza Pink Multi Strand Bracelet, Villancher
Silver & Green Multi Strand Bracelet, Villancher
The Multi Strand Silver & Green Bracelet, £22.99, is charming with it's aqua green/blue, silver and wooden beads. The little heart charms are really sweet too, adding that extra dimension that I love about these pieces.

The Multi Strand Pink Ibiza Bracelet, £23.99, is also really cute. The collection of four bracelets as one, have little red, ivory, blue and purple cross charms, plus a silver shell and other little strings of beads, dangling from them. It's simply adorable and by far my favourite. So I bought one!

Moon C stamp on Pink Ibiza Bracelet

The Pink Ibiza Bracelet is part of the Moon C collection from Paris and I think it's great. I'm especially in love with the little jangling sound it makes and that I'm wearing something brought over from Paris and not many people will have one the same. That makes it just a little extra special.

Take a look at the collection for yourself. I'm sure you'll find a piece to fall in love with too!

Owl necklaces & pendants

Necklace with an owl pendant

I have a lot of necklaces, it's true but I think the love for them has just recently been re-ignited. I didn't wear necklaces or earrings for quite a while after I had my daughter Grace (she just wanted to tug on them constantly), however recently with some of the shapes and designs I have seen available, I'm back to browsing, buying and wearing them again.

I have especially always thought that owl necklaces & pendants are really lovely and have two so far of my own. This first of my owl necklaces is really cute, on a short gold chain, with black stone eyes and diamanté detailing for the feathers.

This lovely little necklace has a good length extender chain and really sparkles in the light. It looks adorable with most outfits but especially with a little black number, adding real character to your neckline. This one was originally from ASOS and although I don't think this one is available any more, they do have a good range of others.

The second of my owl necklaces is this one, which I bought from Dorothy Perkins. This floral owl is on a long cold chain and has a floral belly and diamanté eyes. I love wearing this one with a swing vest, blazer and skinny jeans. It really brightens up any outfit and is sizeable  which I've not seen in most owl necklaces & pendants.

I don't think you can get this owl in Dorothy Perkins any more, but they do sell it in Debenhams and with a 20% sale at the moment, it's a real steal at just £9.60.

I remember my grandmother having an owl necklace when I was a child. I remember that is head and body were hinged and moved separately to each other as if it were real! You can now buy owl necklaces just like that again and whilst on the hunt for the next feathered creature to add to my collection, I've put together a selection of just a few of the options out there.

Owl necklaces, five kinds

Owl necklaces in another 5 designs

1. Vintage Hinged Owl Necklace, £6 from Babi Online
2. Bronze Owl Necklace, £6 from Vintage Princess Jewellery
3. William Wooden Owl Long Pendant, £12 from Accessorize
4. Skye Pearl Owl Necklace, £14 from Very
5. Louche Owl Necklace, £8 from Joy the Store

6. Silver Tone Owl Pendant Long Necklace, £8 from River Island
7. Silver Owl Necklace, £26 from Oliver Bonas
8. Owl Pendant Necklace, £14.99 from Mango
9. Gold and Blue Stone Owl Necklace, £5.99 from New Look
10. Owl Ditsy Necklace, £6 from ASOS

I have also found this adorable Owl Cuff, which I am in love with.

Accessorize owl cuff

At just £10, this Danielle Owl Cuff from Accessorize is truly beautiful. It's gold toned with diamanté detailing and would look gorgeous in the flesh I have no doubt.

Maybe I've just discovered that it's not just owl necklaces that I love but owl jewellery in general. Uh oh, this could get dangerous!

Floral boost your office wear

When reading that statement florals where making a comeback this spring, I was really excited. I’ve got a number of floral pieces that I’ve kept over the years that creep back into my wardrobe as the seasons allow but this spring; it would be great to add a new key piece to my collection and I think I found it on New Looks website.

Florals, office wear, look, style

Amongst various maxi dresses, blouses and cropped top bustiers, I came across these gorgeous Navy Floral Print Turn Up Trousers. These would look great in the office and a snip at just £16.99.

With it, I thought this pretty, girlie Pink Side Split Peplum Top, £12.99, would look really smart for the office but could also be dressed down in the summer with shorts.

Teamed up with this Pink and Gold Deco Plate Necklace (£8.99) and cute Nude Cut Out Shoe/Boot Wedges (£29.99), I think this is a look that will be in my wardrobe before the months out! I'll post pics when it is!
